Recommended Books by Mary Ann

I like to encourage all to read many of the valuable books that are available to ourselves, I like to encourage people to read those books that will be a source of enlightenment, knowledge, and a resource to their mind, body and spirit. You don't have to accept any one book as written on stone, but you will find that some may leave a spark in your spirit and than you can start your own reflection, research and meditations on those topics or views. These are just a few that I enjoyed (some still in the process of reading due to length and heavy content), I am sure there are many, many more. Sometimes as I read one author, he/she refers to another author so my readings never seem to really end. I am also listing Author names that write metaphysical books which I found helpful. will add more as I think of more. Many of these you can request for free from your local libraries and I am grateful for the existence of our lovely libraries in America..I wish we could invest all our extra monies opening libraries around the world, instead of spending so much on defense, war and destruction, The way to keep a nation down is to keep the minds of its people closed..Thank god for Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press that we so enjoy in our Blessed Country of USA...****

1. The books of the Celestial Religions, The Holy Bible, The Torah and The Koran.(I am still in the process of reading these and not sure when I will stop or finish) When I had asked my Spirit Guide, why do I need to read them he had said that it would give me an understanding of history of mankind.  (although, these holy books have been altered by mankind over the many centuries, I like to think we can gently read it and pick out the gentle parts that display our loving God, a loving God who loves all his children no matter what.  I also encourage people to look over and examine the books that are from the mystical parts of the celestial religions, for example..Kabbalah is to Judaism,  Sufism is to Islam, etc... for they encourage much spiritual growth and awakening to one's being. 

2***A Course in Miracles (ACIM) (some call it Miracles book ) (Helen Schucman, sold the book right before death to Advent of Greater Awakening, I think?)) Barbara Schuman was a medium (not sure exactly what her gifts were) and receieved the entire course of this book from Prophet / son of God, Jesus.


3.  Wayne Dyer (number of Spirit inspiring books)
 
4. From the Mother Goddes to Mevlana (bought this in Turkey, not sure if available in USA.) author is Ali Canip Olgunlu.  I am not sure if this is available but gives the reader a humble idea of religions and origins.

5. Essential Sufism by James Fadiman and Robert Frager.

---Writings and works of Rumi, sufi sheik-poet, lover.(a very spiritual old Spirit with provoking thoughts, writings and poems)  Buried in Konya Turkey, many visit his tomb.

---Writings and books of Shams of Tabriz.

6. The Knowing Heart...Kabir Helminski

7. Man's Search for Meaning and other writings of -- Viktor E. Frankl (wrote great books about life and on his key term Logo Therapy)

8. Bhagavad Gita, writings of Buddha, Lao Tzu

(and all other holy scriptures of the world that may interest you )

9. Books of Rosemary Altea (Psychic)(has written many great books)

10. Harold Kushner (number of great books)

11. HUSTON SMITH (American Author, who has written of world religions)
(The World's Religions) )(Tales of Wonder-Adventures of Chasing the Divine) Opened the minds of many about world religions, with respect and love.

12. Abraham Heschel (Several wonderful books,i.e. prophet) A great mind.

13. Doreen Virtue (Psychic)(has written many great books)  A sweet lady who has written a lot on Angels, I believe that truly she must be a great sweet spirit for Angels to share so much with her, although many speak with Spirits, not many are guided by angels like her.

14. Nealle Donald Walsch (Psychic and Author of Conversations with God) Nealle communicates with the God source and doing wonderful things for others.

15. Sylvia Browne (Psychic and has written many books from her communications) although, she has now become a bit commercial, I believe in Sylvia and her wonderful work she is doing. She is a blessed woman who is living a good life and in return doing good things for others.  Her book Mystical Travelers may make sense to those people like myself, who have touched many areas of our Spirits and all it contains.(She has now returned back home)

21. Silver Birch Series, i.e. Guidance from Silver Birch..  ( UK)

Last but not least, as you open your own mind, your own spirit will begin to awaken, and when that awakening takes place, you will know, and you will be the author of your own book, which to me means finding Peace, Comfort and Truth from your own Spirit.  The Best Book, ever for each is to his own.  May your road be always lit, peaceful and joyous.                           ************

Besides number one and number two, I put the rest as a list, with no importance of order but as great books to inspire one to think of Spirit and to awaken the Spirit.  So, my dear reader can see what makes sense to your own spirit and go from there. 
Also, Before buying any books, so, we don't waste our hard earned money, you can request them from your public libary and what will make sense to your spirit will make sense, what you may not be ready for will probably not be interesting to you..(maybe at present, but later on it may make sense)  I found that throughtout my life, when I was ready for certain information I was open to it and when I wasn't ready for it, even if it was in front of me , it did not make any sense and interest me..So, I do believe there is a time for everything in our lives, and that includes the information that we are open for and willing to receive.. There is so much out there to read and to learn from. I am grateful to all those people who have taken out their time to write for our spiritual yearning, awakening and learning. Enjoy.
